Memorial Day Reminder

Memorial Day is observed on May 29th this year. I'm going to start the ball rolling next week by posting my memories of Captain Eleanor Alexander. Eleanor was an operating room nurse in Vietnam and died there in a plane crash in 1967. She was my oldest friend. As children, we played together starting in 1944. She is one of the nine women listed on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC.--Walter Haan, www.war-books.com
